THERAPY

What is it?

If you are new to therapy or are contemplating engaging in it but are unsure of how it works, imagine having a conversation with a caring professional who listens deeply, without judgment, and helps you not only make sense of your emotions and experiences, but also develop healthier ways to cope with life's ups and downs. This is the essence of therapy—a warm, welcoming space where you can explore your inner world and discuss absolutely anything that's on your mind.

In therapy you have the opportunity to reflect on your experiences and understand the patterns that shape your behavior. It's a collaborative journey where you and your therapist work together to uncover insights and develop strategies that resonate with you, helping you navigate life's challenges with greater ease. It's like having a personalized toolkit for your mind and heart.

Therapy isn't just about addressing problems—it's also about celebrating your progress, discovering hidden strengths you may not have realized you had, and building a life that feels more rewarding.

Think of therapy as a supportive companion on your path to self-discovery and healing, guiding you toward a happier and more peaceful, balanced, and fulfilling life.

My Approach

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, so congrats on taking the first step!

I'm passionate about what I do and love having the privilege of being a therapist. I’m a multicultural, trauma-informed and social justice-oriented psychotherapist, and have been doing therapy with adults, young adults, couples, and families for over 10 years.

Using a gentle yet direct and active approach, my goal is to help you create meaningful and long-lasting change, whether it’s related to life-long wounds, more current challenges, or even if you just want to feel better/happier and don’t know where to start.

We will work together to create a strong therapeutic relationship in a judgment-free space that allows us to explore important aspects of your life at a pace that feels right for you—a space where you are safe, understood, and supported.

I strive to guide a collaborative journey that allows us to find the version of you (individually, as a couple, or as a family) that you feel most comfortable with and proud of, a version through which you can thrive.

I deeply enjoy helping patients identify, understand, and manage their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and patterns. I provide direct feedback and will help you develop coping strategies to address what you may be struggling with.

My therapeutic style is tailored to each individual's, couple's, and family's needs and personalities, but warmth, empathy, and genuine interest in your well-being are the pillars of my practice. Humor is always welcome.
